Letter from Riley

Dear Friend,

Hi, my name is Riley Cameron.

I go to Saint Hilary School in San Francisco, California. I am in Pencils for Africa with Ms. Weitzman and Mr. Ajania.

I am so excited to be writing to you!

My hobbies are crafting, volleyball, basketball, dance, and school. What are your hobbies?

I don’t know about you but I think 8th grade is so fun! Being at the top of the school is super fun and we get to wear and design our own sweatshirts to wear as our uniform. On your website I saw your uniforms and they’re super cute! Do you like wearing a uniform?

How is Kenya?

Right now we are in a huge drought so we can’t use too much water. All of the grass is completely dead, it’s actually kind of funny how dry everything is here right now. Do you live in an area of Kenya that has a drought?

We have to get up at 6:30am to go to school. What time do you have to get up?

We have 30 kids in our 8th grade class. How many do you have?

I have two siblings: a sister named Addison and a brother named Jake. I am the oldest.

Do you have any siblings? Do you have any pets?

I have a dog, and two guinea pigs. Sometimes they are a lot of work but I love them unconditionally!

I hope you write back soon!

Riley
